Well our pond in WAterville Valley NH is full of frogs this June. I'm not sure if that means anything but they are probably the most colorful group of amphibians I've seen outside of a zoo. Bright greens and yellows with dark dark eyes.

More progress for our lupine this year. It's so beautiful to see it. On a gloomy day like it was yesterday the colors really popped.

Milo fast asleep

Originally uploaded by irishnh
I had a few minutes before work yesterday and started sn pping a few shots with my Canon S2IS. I heard the distant call of 2 of our bulldogs (snoring). They were fast asleep and seemed determined to ignore me, so I was able to get a few shots of them fast asleep in their favorite chairs. Milo often sleeps with hs tongue poking out a little like this! I t madew ema little jealous that he was able to sleep in.

Chandelier at the Capital Center for the Arts in Concord, NH

Saturday I traveled to Concord to see Brittany perform in the womens choir part of the NH Allstate Music festival. I was adjusting the asettings on my camera before the show started so I could snap a few photos during the show (no flash please). The Capital Center for the Arts is done in an Egyptian motif, and I tried to capture something iconic and original to this venue. Here's a shot of one of the chandeliers. I like the play of extreme light and extreme dark.

Well I'm still at it going through my vacation photos and uploading them to Flickr. This one is at the University of Virginia. Thomas Jefferson designed the original buildings and campus layout. Since we were in Charlottesville to vosot Monticello we decided to take a quick stop at UVA as well. It's quite beautiful and Thomas Jefferson is one of Donald's heroes. SO stopping was a real no brainer.

Gertrude on a sunny Saturday afternoon

We ha d a great Easter weekend. The weather was absolutely fantastic, with bright sunshine and temps in the 70's who could complain when it is still just early April. Gertrude here in the photo was panting a little because of the unusually warm weather.
