Chandelier at the Capital Center for the Arts in Concord, NH

Saturday I traveled to Concord to see Brittany perform in the womens choir part of the NH Allstate Music festival. I was adjusting the asettings on my camera before the show started so I could snap a few photos during the show (no flash please). The Capital Center for the Arts is done in an Egyptian motif, and I tried to capture something iconic and original to this venue. Here's a shot of one of the chandeliers. I like the play of extreme light and extreme dark.

Well I'm still at it going through my vacation photos and uploading them to Flickr. This one is at the University of Virginia. Thomas Jefferson designed the original buildings and campus layout. Since we were in Charlottesville to vosot Monticello we decided to take a quick stop at UVA as well. It's quite beautiful and Thomas Jefferson is one of Donald's heroes. SO stopping was a real no brainer.

Gertrude on a sunny Saturday afternoon

We ha d a great Easter weekend. The weather was absolutely fantastic, with bright sunshine and temps in the 70's who could complain when it is still just early April. Gertrude here in the photo was panting a little because of the unusually warm weather.
